作曲したアルバート・ハモンドは、離婚した後に7年間付き合っていた恋人がいました。その恋人と再婚する時に、思いついた曲がこの「Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now」です。

アルバートは恋人と長く同棲していたのですが、結婚するのを周りに邪魔されているように感じていたそうです。ついに結婚する時、彼は「もう誰も二人を止められない！」と思いこの曲を書いたんだとか。

ちなみにこの曲はアメリカのコメディ映画「マネキン」のテーマ曲として使われました。PVもストーリー構成が似ており、また映画に出演したメシャック・テイラーがカメオ出演するなど、映画を非常に意識した作りになっています。
