今回はFujii Kaze(藤井風）の「My Place」の歌詞を和訳します。

この曲はWBCのサウンドトラックに収録されている一曲で、プエルトリコ出身のタイニーからのオファーによりコラボレーションが実現しました。

この曲の歌詞には言葉遊びが散りばめられており、「Son tus pelotas」という言葉は直訳すると”それは君のボールだ"という意味になります。ただボールというのが男性の玉を指し、そこから派生し”度胸を見せろ”みたいな感じの意味になります。

英語では「you got that stick and balls」という歌詞があり、そちらは棒と玉があるだろという意味になります。

そこから派生して”漢だろ”、とか”度胸をみせろ”といった意味になるのですがどちらも野球のボールやバットとも掛かっているので良く意味を理解してから和訳を見ると楽しめると思います！
